  • The third single from the album "Light Years", "Kids" was originally written by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers solely for her, however Robbie was so fond of the song, he decided to turn it into a duet and also included it on his album "Sing When You're Winning". Denied the top spot in the UK by U2, "Kids" debuted at #2 in the UK, to become her third consecutive Top 2 hit since signing with the Parlophone label. It was chosen in favour of other album tracks "Disco Down" & "Butterfly". ("Butterfly" was later released as a limied edition maxi-single in the US only).   • A test pressing of "Butterfly" was originally issued to UK clubs in Spring 2000, to test DJ reaction to her new material. "Butterfly" had been in the running to be the fourth single from "Light Years", but due to its strong club influences it was pulled in favour of the more radio-friendly "Please Stay". However producer of the song Mark Pichotti, remixed the track and issued it as a limited edition Maxi- Single in the US only, through his own Blue Plate Records, where it became a sizeable hit on the Billboard Dance Charts. This was the sixth and final single release from the album "Light Years". "Butterfly" later ended up as a bonus track on a limited quantity first US pressng of her next album "Fever". (November 2001)

  • Thursday 28th October 2004: First Irish show for the upcoming "Showgirl: The Greatest Hits Tour", at The Point in Dublin (7th April 2005) completely sold out in 20 minutes.
  • 17th October 2004: Her video for "Chocolate" was nominated in the category of Music Video at the 10th annual American Choreography Awards.
  • Saturday 30th October 2004: "I Believe In You" named JK & Joel's Weekend Anthem on their radio shows on Radio 1 in the UK.
  • Friday 29th October 2004: Her single "I Believe in You" takes over the airwaves in Australia, being the named the fourth most played track on Australian radio in its first week. An amazing result.
  • 3rd November 2004: Hosted an intimate preview of her SS '05 Love Kylie collection and launched the Love Kylie Legs hosiery line in London.
  • 5th November 2004: The single "I Believe In You" is named Radio 2's 'Record of the Week'. UK radio stations Capital and Radio 1 have both added the track to their A-lists.
  • Sunday 21st November 2004: Inducted into the Smash Hits Hall of Fame when she was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Smash Hits T4 Poll Winners Party held at London's Wembley Arena.
  • November 2004: she donated over 300 items of her clothing to the Victorian Arts Centre's Performing Art Collection in her home town of Melbourne, Australia. The collection will tour Australia nationally from January 2005 through to May 2006, and will then tour internationally. The items on show will include the infamous white muslin dress seen in the "I Should Be So Lucky" video, the pink and silver Showgirl outfit from "Intimate & Live", the amazing Silvanemesis outfit from the 2002 `Fever Tour', the legendary gold hotpants from "Spinning Around" and the customised charm bracelets and 'knuckle dusters' featured in a number of performances and videos promoting her album "Fever". The collection even extends to the overalls that helped make her a household name both in Australia and the UK as the much-loved tomboy mechanic Charlene Mitchell on "Neighbours".
  • Monday 15th November 2004: The video for "I Believe In You" rose 18 places to No. 2 on the UK TV Airplay Chart, and hit #2 on the UK Radio Airplay Chart after 4 weeks.
  • Tuesday 23rd November 2004: Presented with the Special Jury Award at the Annual 2005 Onda Awards Ceremony in Spain, in recognition of her incredible career and contribution to popular music. This made it her second lifetime achievement award in less than a week. Two days earlier she had been inducted into the Smash Hits Hall of Fame in the UK. The Inda Awards are Spain's equivalent to the The Brit, Aria & Grammy awards.
  • Wednesday 24th November 2004: I Believe In You hit #7 on the European Airplay Charts, and continued to rise.
  • 17th January 2005: "I Believe In You" continues to remain at #1 on the UK airplay chart for the 6th week in a row.
  • January 2005: tops Danilo's Official Calender Chart for the 4th year in a row. She is also the highest selling female in Danilo's 26 year history.
  • 21st February 2005: Her single "Giving You Up" was selected by Radio 1 in the UK, as their early breakfast 'Record of the Week'.
  • Mother is Carol Minogue (aka: Carol Jones Minogue). Father is Accountant Ron Minogue. Grew up in the inner Melbourne suburb of Surrey Hills.
  • 10th February 2005: Nominated for Best Female at the 2005 Brit Awards.
  • 24th March 2005: "Made of Glass", the b-side to Kylie's new single "Giving You Up", is the #1 most added track to radio in Australia this week! The upbeat track, co-written by Kylie along with "Giving You Up" during the "Ultimate Kylie" sessions last summer, was produced by Brian Higgins & Xenomania.
  • Diagnosed with breast cancer and cancelled her tour of Australia. [May 2005]
  • November 2004: Nominated for Online Artist of the Year at the 2004 Digital Music Awards.
