- Sister of Corky Siemaszko, a reporter/writer for the New York Daily News.
- Daughter of a Polish underground fighter who survived the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
- She had a small role in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992), but the scene ended up on the cutting room floor. The scene is found in the Deleted Scenes section of "Reservoir Dogs - Ten Years - Special Edition".
- An avid runner, has run over 15 marathons

- Is best friends with fellow actress and Chicagoan Lara Flynn Boyle
- Took up surfing to get over her fear of the water
- Is the only student in St. Ignatius College Prep's history to be kicked out and later welcomed back. She purchased seats in its newly constructed theater in 1998 in honor of the Siemaszko family. They're in the third row.
