- Together with her husband, AlBano, she appeared in the 1985 Eurovision Song Contest held in Sweden, singing Majic Oh Majic...they came in a commendable 7th place.
- Her eldest daughter Ylenia Carrisi (b. November 1970) was visiting New Orleans when she went missing in the French Quarter. She had been staying at the LeDale Hotel with a street musician when she was last seen on 6 January 1994. The man was arrested in connection with her disappearance by the New Orleans police detectives, but later released due to lack of evidence. She has yet to be found.
- She moved to Rome, Italy, together with her mother and sister, in the early 60s.
