- Daughter of actors Ann Sothern and Robert Sterling
- In the film The Whales of August (1987), Tisha played the same character her mother Ann Sothern played, in flashbacks as a younger woman.
- Marvelously look-alike, sound-alike daughter of the actress Ann Sothern; fathered by actor Robert Sterling.
- Debuted on the cover of Seventeen magazine with Troy Donahue in June 1962, then soloed for the May 1963 issue.
- At 19, she and Danny Lockin, who later played Barnaby in the film version of Hello, Dolly! (1969), screen-tested for the part of Liesl and Rolf in the movie blockbuster The Sound of Music (1965), eventually losing out to Charmian Carr and Daniel Truhitte.
- Her aunt was singer/songwriter Bonnie Lake, who wrote such standards as "Sandman", "I've Got Your Number" and "Gracias".
- Was to co-star with Margaret Leighton in the Broadway play "The Chinese Prime Minister" in 1964 but was fired during the try-outs for being too young to play a sexy nymphette.
- Actor Richard Egan was her godfather.
- Later became a florist and designer in Sun Valley, Idaho area, and today only infrequently appearing in films. Has one daughter, Heidi Bates Hogan.
